Safety and Quality
Designing masts, spars and fittings, we always calculate the necessary safety factors. The combination of carefully purchase and selection of timber and the pride and craftmanship of our mast builders, is the basis of our top quality product.
Quality control
Before glueing, every surface is freshly planed and degreased and double checked for impurities. Every kind of timber has its own type of glue, which come out of scientific research and long lasting experience of the shipyard. Working condition as tempature and humidity are constantly measured.
Environmental friendly production facility
Recognising the great importance of climate control, Ventis has built a brand new (2008) production facility specially designed for manufacturing of spars. It is of great importance to control the temperature (and relative humidity) during the process of timber handling, glueing and varnishing. The new workshop is equipped with a floor heating system in order to maintain the optimal production conditions. The heat necessary for climate control is taken from the IJsselmeer right in front of the shipyard via a heat pump system. Therefore this is a low-CO2 and environmental friendly facility.
This is also in agreement with the People, Planet, Profit company policy of Ventis.
Meetmethode
Er is een nieuwe meetmethode ontwikkeld om, met behulp van de computer, planken op stijfheid en doorbuiging te testen. Lees hier meer.
