Schooner Spars

A legend reborn
The schooner that set the record which stood in the history of sport, any sport ! In 1905 she crossed the Atlantic in 12 days, 4 hours and 36 minutes, a record that would stand for a hundred years.
The original Atlantic was broken up in 1983 but in 2009 Dutch yachtsman Ed Kastelein decided to recreate her. A man of great accomplishments, a man who built large schooners such as Zacca and Eleonora and who had the vision to turn dreams in to reality. With a team of hand picked craftsman he set out to build her and succeeded with flying colors. In the past decade she has circumnavigated the world and has been guest of honor at many classic yacht events.
